Omer was born and raised in the Jewish community of Long Island, New York, to Israeli parents. He's a sports enthusiast, having played soccer and basketball in high school, where he served as the captain of his team. Omer actively participated in the local Jewish youth movement, frequently assuming responsibilities to advocate for and strengthen connections to Israel. His dedication ultimately led to his election as the president of the entire New York region. Despite being accepted to study at a university in New York, Omer chose to spend a year at the Upper Galilee Preparatory School (Mechina), where he made the decision to immigrate to Israel and enlist in the armored corps (Shiryon) as part of the Garin Tzabar program.
